Qualification:

M.Ed. Professional Master of Education

Experience:

I am a recent graduate of a Professional Masters of Education degree and also graduated from a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Mathematics and Science. I completed a TEFL course also. I have had experience teaching in three different Secondary schools in Ireland. I have taught mathematics and science from years 7-11 and chemistry and mathematics to years 12-13. I also have experience teaching mathematics in an IB curriculum. 

Approach:

I make an effort to develop good relationships with my students from the beginning of the year and get to know their learning styles and needs. I also encourage student-led classes where necessary to allow the students to become critical thinkers, be responsible for their learning and become more confident in investigating and exploring new topics. I always aim to encourage students to reach their highest potential no matter what their abilities are and continuously use positive reinforcement.
