Experience:

I have been working as a teacher for over 5 years and a private 1 to 1 tutor for 5 years. I am currently working as a year 3/ grade 2 teacher with experience in all year groups. Throughout my career, I have been known to be an enthusiastic and creative teacher. I truly believe in each of my students and always set high expectations for them and aspire them to reach their full potential. I have seen students after a few weeks of tutoring with me go from struggling to learn to being one of the best in their class.

Approach:

I plan my lessons in a very child centred way. When planning the content for the lessons, I consider the child's age, their current level and what we need to work towards. I then use a variety of engaging teaching methods to teach the content, particularly methods that work best with the student. I explain the learning goals at the start of the lesson and then at the end we reflect on the lesson to ensure the student understands what they have learned and that we can move on to the next stage.
