Experience:

As an experienced teacher of 11 years, I have an excellent understanding of how to motivate children to reach their full potential. I am fully U.K. qualified with a PGCE in primary education. I taught for 9 years in London, before moving to Dubai, where I currently teach Year 6 in a British Curriculum school. As well as supporting children to close gaps, I am well versed in working with more able and talented children in order to extend and challenge them to reach their full potential.

Approach:

In the initial session, I will carry out some short assessments with the child to identify areas of development to tailor my lessons. I will also liaise with the parents and child to identify their priorities. Then, I will create a tailored curriculum to meet the needs of the pupil and ensure that the time is purposeful and ensures rapid progress. I will adapt my lessons to meet the needs of the child, using strategies and activities which peak their interests and develop their love of learning.
