Experience:

I have been teaching for nine years and enjoy seeing students develop their skills and understanding. As an educator, I believe it is important to help each individual to reach their potential. Through interesting and stimulating approaches my students are engaged with their learning and inspired to independently consolidate their learning. They often finish sessions wanting to know even more. It is possible to engage anyone with learning: the approach is what makes the difference.

Approach:

I have tutored children of different ages and abilities. Each child's specific needs are considered. I believe in giving real life context as a positive way of engaging my tutees: understanding why they are learning something engages students. This belief informs the my planning of sessions. Sessions consist of very simple assessment for learning strategies - this helps me to develop an understanding of my students level. Tasks are written, verbal or even active.
