These days you have to be open for all kind of music. I do teach student's favourite songs and I do have my own curriculum that is very easy to adapt. Student will play his first song in a month. I do train for Trinity College London examination but I have noticed that is very boring for the kids. It's better to be open for their favourite songs as well. Music is all about the freedom. Music comes from your heart and not from the books.
