Experience:

After graduating from University in Canada, I obtained my Post-graduate Diploma in Primary Education in Australia where I discovered my passion for teaching.  I then moved to London, England where I taught the British Curriculum to Year 3 and 4 classes for three years. Next, I moved to Taiwan where I received my International Baccalaureate (IB) teaching certification and taught and tutored children ages 6-14 at an IB school for three years. I have recently moved to Dubai where I wil be teaching Year 2 for the next 2 years.

Approach:

I have a strong understanding of what constitutes high quality teaching and learning. I feel confident in my ability to plan and teach well-organized and engaging lessons. I strive to create an imaginative and stimulating learning environment that promotes a love of learning, intellectual curiosity and inspires my students’ interests in the topic being learned. My experience teaching the British Curriculum and IB Inquiry-Based Curriculum has given me a strong background in different teaching styles, and has made me flexible in my teaching approach so I can adjust it according to the child's needs. I believe children should be enthusiastic about learning which is why I teach and tutor in a way that excites and challenges all pupils.
