Masters in Primary Education

Experience:

I have been a primary teacher for 4 years. During this time, I have gained experience teaching classes of students, as well as tutoring students one on one. I am very calm and patient with students, which is often crucial when helping students who are struggling. English is my native language and so can provide great support in this area, as well as Math and Science. I am qualified to teach students in primary school up the age of 12.

Approach:

Lessons could be planned and based on what students are learning in school. This is to support them and allow them cement their learning. However, reading and writing would always be part of a tutoring lesson for English. Lessons would involve high student engagement. Meaning more student talk and less tutor talk. I would aim to incorporate some fun learning games so the children can enjoy the lessons.
