MA from University College London and BA from Georgetown University

Experience:

At Georgetown, and after my graduation, I provided assistance with assignments, helped with brainstorming ideas, reviewing grammar and structure, proofreading citations and preparing for oral exams in French, among other things. I supported students in working on their papers at various stages of their writing process, and provided academic assistance in writing skills and learning strategies when needed. I attended trainings regularly to continuously improve my teaching skills.

Approach:

When I tutor, I usually do not stick to a specific approach but rather design it after the first session to cater to the student's need. I would make a list of all of the things they would like to learn, as well as the concepts and practices that would be useful, and then plan accordingly. I understand that not everyone learns the same way, therefore I want to make sure that whatever the student needs will be taught to them at their own pace.
