Experience:

I have 6 years teaching experience in international schools and I am very familiar and confident working with children who are second language English speakers. I am currently a Grade 4 homeroom teacher here in Abu Dhabi. I have vast experience teaching a range of classroom subjects, in line with the primary curriculum; namely English, Math & Science. I have also worked with a range of curriculums including the British, IB, American, Australian and Northern Irish curriculums. I know how to help children reach their academic potential. I use a range of teaching styles to encourage children to learn. I will get to know your child and find the most appropriate style of learning to suit their needs and to help them excel. In my 6 years tutoring experience, I have gained valuable insight in to how to teach your child to apply concepts taught in order to be successful in exam situations.

Approach:

I will plan my lessons around what will engage your child. For example, I will do my best to get to know your child and find out what their strengths and weaknesses are. Most importantly, I will build a relationship with them and find out what their interests are and use this to spark interest in our lessons. I like my lessons to be interesting, engaging, creative, individualised and as practical as possible. I want students to look forward to our classes and get excited and motivated through hands-on activities to promote their learning. My tutoring approach will be very much personalised to suit the needs of your child.
