Bachelor of Arts (Music and Theology) and TEFL (teaching English as a foreign language)

Experience:

For the past four years I have been teaching music and tutoring students between kindergarten and grade 7. I am fully competent to assist with the theoretical or practical side of music to cater for all the students needs. Every summer I teach English to a range of teenagers from foreign countries. These lessons were structured in such a way to create an enjoyable working atmosphere with the aim of broadening the student's language base by incorporating classwork through activities.

Approach:

My tutoring approach usually varies depending on the particular students needs. I am always keen to encourage the student as I feel that has a huge impact on student's learning. I include a variety of learning styles so that the student may reach his/her full potential. I aim to support the student through their syllabus and focus on any weak areas the student may wish to improve.
