Experience:

Teaching has always been my passion! I have taught for over twenty years in four countries, Jamaica, USA, Turkey and the UAE. I work hard at assisting students with developing language and mathematics skills, to value conceptual understanding of ideas, and to use multiple strategies for solving real life problems. I currently hold a Master's degree in teaching reading and mathematics to students from grades one to grade eight, a diploma in Primary education and Bachelors degree in History.

Approach:

Lessons are planned to stimulate students prior knowledge to enable them to make connections with new ideas and concepts. Students are then taught to use a variety of thinking, communication, and self management skills to apply their learning to a variety of situations, including completing simple and complex tasks and solving problems in and out of the classroom.
