Experience:

I have been teaching for six years now across all year groups. I have taught in every KS1 and KS2 year group from Year 1-6. Therefore I have a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and how it progresses from lower key stage to upper key stage. My strengths are being able to identify and assess a child's ability and knowing how to plan lessons to move their learning forwards. My intentions are always to challenge the child to think independently and grow as a confident learner.

Approach:

I plan my lessons into 4 quarters; each 15 minutes will have a different purpose. For example, teaching and learning is normally followed by an independent activity then a progress check. The purpose of this is to keep the learner engaged and aware of the pace and routine of the lesson.
