Experience:

I have a PGCE (Distinction) with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) from a British university and over 25 years experience in teaching. I am an outstanding teacher and UK National Award winner for Science teaching. I have tutored many students over 25 years, helping them to excel in Science and Maths. Many of my students have gone on to study at Oxford and Cambridge universities in the UK as well as top universities around the world. I am a father of 2 boys, aged 12 and 8.

Approach:

My approach is to see learning through the eyes of my students and to give students confidence in areas of learning they find hard. My lessons are planned to inspire by linking learning to the real world. Students are supported as they learn to think for themselves, solve problems with growing confidence and respond to challenges that are appropriate for their ability level. Students receive and respond to my detailed feedback on how to improve. We become a learning partnership!
