BSc, MSc Microbiology, PGDE, MA Education (In view), 120 Hr TEFL/15 yrs

Experience:

My 15-year teaching experience includes tutoring CIE IGCSE and A level Biology over the last ten years as a follow up to over five years of teaching WAEC Biology. Other curricula taught in this time include OCR, AQA and NCUK-IFY. I have utilized quite a variety of teaching pedagogies, ICT tools and developed learning devices like the picture quiz and the mind box during this period. My overall success rate in external examinations is between 70-100% (C-A).

Approach:

My lessons are set up with the understanding that learners have burning questions they would like answered with respect to the topic under consideration which may or may not be provided for by the curriculum but will definitely enhance class participation and understanding. Critical thinking skills are achieved through discussion geared towards making students elicit information as a follow up to conceptual analysis.
