Primary Education BEd Hons (with Mathematics specialism)

Experience:

I am a qualified primary school teacher, working with the National Curriculum for England. I have experience with KS1 and KS2, but have spent most of my career teaching in KS2. I also have ample experience helping children on a one to one basis, particularly with the core subjects.

Approach:

My approach will very much vary child to child depending on their needs and areas for development. But in general I aim to build a working relationship with the child to find out their learning style and adapt my teaching to this. In general however, I try to keep lessons fairly structured so the child knows what to expect and can get into routine; I aim to link lessons to their interests where possible and provide lots of verbal praise and motivation so the lessons are well paced and enjoyable.
