Bachelor of Education, Post Graduate Diploma in Special and Additional Learning Needs, TESOL

Experience:

I have been working as an Educator for 10 years. Currently employed with a leading IB school. Teaching a diverse group of students with Special Needs. My skills in phonics levels, EAL interventions, assistive technology, and multi-sensory lesson planning allow me to address and meet the needs of each student. My academic background and my extensive experience in SEN and EAL, as well as working with students from diverse cultures are successfully utilized in this role.

Approach:

While working with students of determination, my years of experience has taught me the value of acceptance of diversity, encouragement, and patience. Effective lesson planning requires me to determine three essential components: the objective, the body, and a reflection. I work closely with each student, providing the individualized support and praise they require. I also make sure to stay connected with the Parents and any specialists involved, to encourage the success of each student.
