Experience:

I have experience as an assistant instructor/interpreter from when I was in the national service program. When I explain a concept, I prefer to simplify it as much as possible and, if they're available, use visual aids to help people understand it. I am an alumnus of the Applied Technology High School. I took the Advanced Placement Calculus AB course, and scored a 3 on the AP exam administered by College Board. I have completed one semester of university with a GPA of 4.0.

Approach:

I outline objectives, before giving a brief lecture, and then some practice exercises to check for understanding. Once the student reaches a satisfactory level of understanding, I will move onto the next objective outlined. When presented with a problem, instead of simply giving the solution or the answer to the student, I will attempt to guide them towards reaching the conclusion on their own. If they continue to struggle, I will actively encourage them with positive reinforcement.
