BA(hons)popular music&composition, Grade 8 Classical guitar, Grade 6 Classical singing, Grade 5 music theory

Experience:

Over 20 years experience as a guitarist, performer, singer, music educator, and professional rockstar. I have tutored a vast array of people from the young to the old, from beginners to the advanced. Through experience I have adapted many teaching techniques, specially tailoring lessons where need be, and quickly assessing my student's personal requirements.

Approach:

A compromise of both academia and practical learning. We work hard and play hard! My experience as a working musician plays a large role in my lessons, focusing on musical awareness and communication is integral. i.e we jam, and we enjoy it! As a classical guitarist I also value the importance of theory and technique. This is essential in becoming a well-rounded musician. It is important that my students can not only sound great, but they understand how music works and where it is from.
