Experience:

I have experince with: Planning and delivering lessons independently, in line with the national curriculum, participating in school inspections, assessing student progress and marking work, teaching core subjects as well as additional subjects such as social studies and class topic, as well as, teaching and supporting children with SEN and EAL.

Approach:

I am a native English speaker from Scotland. I came to Dubai in 2017 to study a year aboard as part of my undergraduate degree from Heriot Watt Edinburgh. After studying in Dubai for 1 year I fell in love with the city, particularly due to the many cultures. This then led me to complete my final year of my degree in Dubai, before returning to Scotland to graduate. Upon graduation I received a 2:1 MA honours in International Business Management with Marketing. During my time studying, a passion for learning grew inside of me and upon completion of my degree I knew I wanted to undertake further study. I am lucky enough to come from a family of teachers who recognised my passion for learning and help set me on my path to become a teacher.  I am now completing my (PGCE) Postgrad Certificate of Education in Primary Education. Since I have started studying education, I have not looked back and my love and passion for the profession has rapidly developed. I have been able to find such satisfaction in sparking the love and enjoyment for learning within children. I particularly enjoy teaching subjects that I found difficult when I was in school as I search for new strategies and methods to enhance the learning experience.
