B.Ed (Hons) in Primary Education

Experience:

I have been teaching for 18 years in both state Primary + private Preparatory schools in the UK. I have spent the last year teaching in Abu Dhabi to a British Curriculum. I have over 9 years experience on the SLT of Schools In that time, I have taught pupils from Yr 1 - Yr 8 I have taught all subjects across the board but specialise in English + Maths. I have experience of working with most Maths schemes and teaching English in varying ways.

Approach:

Planning is key to my approach and I like to make sure that lessons are well prepared. They need to be individual to each child and tailored to there needs. I believe in striking a good working relationship that allows the child to be open and honest, and not afraid to make mistakes. Only from making mistakes do we learn how to get things right. I believe in reacting to pupils needs adjusting planning materials to suit this, as well as having the ability to explore different avenues.
