Hi, my name is Gemma and I'm a TEFL-certified English language teacher with over 12 years' experience in teaching (mostly adult learners) in 6 different countries, which include Switzerland, Spain, France, South Korea, Vietnam, and the UAE.

I teach a variety of English language courses, including General & Business English, English for Specific Purposes, Academic English, English exam prep, public speaking, and more. I like to tailor my teaching approach to each learner's individual objectives as I believe every student has unique needs.

Fun fact: I've taught approximately 70 nationalities to date.

I enjoy getting to know my students and making them feel comfortable in class. This is crucial so that from day one, students feel encouraged to make mistakes, ask questions, and actively participate in class as well as in self-study.

I have helped numerous students achieve their English exam scores for exams such as IELTS, PTE Academic, EmSAT, Cambridge Exams, and TOEFL. I have extensive experience in evaluating and grading students' written assignments and papers for IELTS and PTE, and can help you improve your preparatory skills for these exams quickly.

What I love most about my job is the impact I can have on my students' lives. Whether it's helping you feel confident in English communication, preparing for a new job, or reaching your target English exam score for work or study, knowing that I can make a positive difference is truly rewarding.

I believe that creating a comfortable and pleasant learning environment (online or offline) is core to every teaching session of mine. I’m very approachable and open-minded and enjoy teaching English to adults.  I have a neutral English accent and most of my students see these as a positive trait.  I have a positive outlook on life in general and the passion and abilities to enable me to continue delivering exceptional education to English learners.
