MBA, BSc(Hons), DELTA & CELTA

Experience:

12 years business/corporate/ English language training, extensive IELTS experience (general & academic) with a post-graduate diploma from the University of Cambridge in teaching English as a foreign language (DELTA) as well as a certificate in the same area (CELTA). I have taught IELTS to hundreds of students including high school, university and professionals throughout the world as well as for immigration and visa purposes. I have delivered business business English and communication skills training at multinationals organizations throughout the world on a range of communication topics including: Presentations and speeches. Business writing (emails, reports, technical, minutes of meetings, public relations, references, speech writing - accurate register). Business conversation and socializing skills. ​ Business vocabulary (finance, law, logistics, marketing, stragety, HR, economics), and grammar (accuracy and complexity).     

Approach:

Initially I do a brief diagnostic test to determine your current level (CEFR framework) and then discuss your learning goals. Following this, we put together a learning plan and discuss various strategies to achieve your future objectives. For IELTS I place a strong focus on exam strategies as well as the necessary grammar and vocabulary to achieve your result. For business English I provide engaging lessons using a wide variety of techniques including role plays, videos, models, dialogues, debates and listening. I place a strong emphasis on developing effective communication skills - writing, speaking, listening skills as well as error correction.
