I believe in building rapport with my students. Try to understand them and then mentor them. As students needs those teachers who act as mentor not just teacher. In my opinion a tutor assists in shaping the character of his student and helps him in character building. Achieving good grades in exams is of prime importance, but inculcating high morals, positive approach and resilience is equally important.

With students be like student (it helps in understanding them) at the same time they should consider them your friend keeping in mind the sanctity of their tutor, mentor and teacher. Teaching student the value of time management and how to effectively use electronic gadgets. How to use technology in the best possible way.
