BA/BSc Primary Education and MA in Special Educational Needs

Experience:

Outstanding teacher and special educational needs specialist. Can tutor Primary and lower Secondary aged children. Have taught in Year 1, 2, 4 and 6 in a British Curriculum school.  Currently tutor a Grade 4 boy on the American Curriculum.  Have also tutored a Yr 8 dyslexic child and have tutored children of all abilities throughout the primary age range. Outstanding results as a teacher and tutor.

Approach:

Friendly, formal manor with classroom style support. A lot of modelling and scaffolding of work to support learning. Interactive style of learning meeting all learners need. Learning based on child’s ability and gaps in knowledge to make learning personalised. Able to meet a range of children’s needs. Expertise in Dyslexia, Autism, ADHD and Dysgraphia. Revision and Exam techniques taught.
