Experience:I have 20 years of extensive experience teaching Physics and Mathematics. From January 2000 to December 2004, I taught at Richmond College Harrow in the United Kingdom. Subsequently, from 2005 to 2010, I imparted my knowledge at the International School Bangalore (TISB) in India. Between 2010 and 2015, I served as an educator at Elizabeth Moir International School and Ladies College Colombo in Sri Lanka. From 2015 to 2020, I continued my teaching journey at GEM International Discovery Garden in Dubai. My teaching repertoire includes Physics and Mathematics curricula for Edexcel, Cambridge, and AQA (IGCSE & A Level), as well as the IB (MYP) & IBDP.
Approach:My teaching approach begins with a thorough evaluation of the student's background knowledge and their ability to grasp new concepts. I also identify the student's specific goals and tailor my instruction accordingly. I utilize a virtual collaborative whiteboard in conjunction with a Zoom link, ensuring that the lessons are interactive and engaging. Students are expected to have a writing device, such as a writing tablet with a pen, to facilitate effective participation. The lessons are highly interactive, featuring a lot of back-and-forth exchanges to enhance understanding. Additionally, students have the option to record the lessons for future reference. Following each lesson, I provide automated quizzes that allow students to self-evaluate their understanding. I also supply graded practice materials, which are marked and returned after submission. To ensure comprehensive preparation, I incorporate practice with exam-style questions throughout the course. As exams approach, I administer mock exams under real exam conditions to build the student's confidence and improve their speed.
