Experience:

I am an experienced British trained Primary school teacher. I have taught Year 1 to Year 6 and specialise in Phonics and Language development. I taught in London for 3 years prior to moving to Dubai. I am now in my third year in Dubai and have been tutoring since I moved. I have a good understanding of the culture in the UAE, the education system and of course the varying learning styles of children. I am fluent in French and I have the skills to teach up to IB programme for French.

Approach:

My tutoring approach varies from student to student. I believe in adapting learning so it is child-centered and is of personal interest to the individual. The more a student can relate to learning, the more likely they are to retain information and progress! I like to assess where a child is in their learning and support them to fill any gaps and reinforce areas of the curriculum that they may not feel very confident with. My lessons are focused on the student and how the student learns best.
