Experience:

I offer an individualized tuition service based on 8 years of teaching and 1-2-1 tuition services combined. I have taught and tutored across both KS1 and FS. You can trust safely in the faith that your child will be provided with a consistent and personalised learning experience based on a continuous dialogue between both the child and you the parent.

Approach:

I approach my tutoring through the needs of the child and parent. First I assess the child and get updated and informed with what is being covered in school. I gather the information needed to understand and identify the issues and challenges my student is facing and create a strategic plan to overcome it. The major focus of my teaching approach is the development of the whole student with an emphasis on emotional aspects of the student. This is done by concentrating upon the development self-concept. If the student feels good about him or herself that that is a positive start. Feeling good about yourself involves an understanding of your talents, strengths and weaknesses, and a belief in your ability to improve. My personal aim Is a gradual, step-by-step transfer of responsibility from the teacher to the student. By creating learners who are in control of their own education and no longer require a tutor or parental supervision.  Developing independent learners is the core of my tutoring approach
