Experience:

I am a teacher from Ireland, with five years experience teaching fifth and sixth grade age group. I particularly enjoy teaching Maths and English, and use a variety of hands-on, engaging methods to get the best from my students. I am an encouraging and patient teacher, but have high expectations of my students, and expect them to work hard.  

Approach:

I base each lesson around the student in question, tailoring the plan to their needs and the expectations of the parent. I have a huge number of resources across many topics which I like to use to make the lesson more engaging for the child. These include videos, online games, engaging presentations and other activities. I approach tuition in a very structured manner, and like to set exactly what I would like to see the student achieve, with the help of their parent or guardian, and then work systemically towards achieving those goals.
