BA (Hons) International Education and Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)

Experience:

I have taught children in both the UK and the UAE for 7 years and I have worked with pupils from both Key Stages addressing misconceptions in mathematics and English, from developing arithmetic and reasoning skills, to enhancing comprehension skills and written work. I am also an experienced Year 6 teacher and have prepared pupils for upcoming assessments including progress tests and SATs, as well as preparing pupils for the transition into secondary school.

Approach:

I believe in adapting every tutoring session to match the child's specific needs so that their learning is personalised and so that the time we have together is effective. I am able to provide the resources for each session, and assess the child regularly to ensure progress is being made. As a tutor, I am patient, understanding and fun!
