Experience:

I currently work in an out of classroom role supporting small groups of children with specific areas of development such as language, social, motor, phonics and mathematics. I previously tutored while living in London and supported children who were getting ready to start school with a school readiness program and also tutored for Year 2 SATs. I have an outstanding track record in helping students achieve the expected end of year outcomes for EYFS and the English Nationals Curriculum.

Approach:

My approach to tutoring is to provide exciting and engaging lessons using learners own interests to move learning forward. With each new student I use an assessment tool to identify gaps in learning in order to plan sequential lesons to bridge the gaps in their knowledge or skills. I use a range of resources to achieve this. Parents are provided with a record book to summarise the content covered and pupils are given a daily or weekly task(s) to complete for the following session.
