Experience:Iam from the UK (United Kingdom) and have been a Science Teacher forover 10 years. My exposure in education is broad, I have been an Assistant Head Teacher, Head of Science, Lead Teacher, and Head of Chemistry in London, UK. In the UAE, I was Head of Science at Kings School Al Barsha in Dubai last year, where I took the department from KHDA Good to Outstanding. The students I tutor are usually aspiring Medics or Engineers who intend on attendingtop universitiesaround the world.I am currently tutoring bothA-Level Chemistryand GCSE Science ( Biology, Chemistry, and Physics)in the UAE.
Approach:I will produce a long term plan of areas of the syllabus to cover, with a focus on areas of weakness. I always try to be flexible, understanding, and listen to the individual needs of the pupil and plan around this. I will spend half the lesson teaching and the other half going throughpast papers. I will then set homework ona series of questions for next time where we then go through difficult questions encountered by my student.
