Experience:

I am motivated by sharing my learning experience from my academic years to spark interest for learning in new generations. During my MSc in France I tutored undergrad students in Maths and Physics, which were people of determination. This sharpened my adaptability, emphasizing assessment of the student’s needs to tailor the message for best impact. During my PhD I took a course on teaching, complementing the latter learning.

Approach:

My tutoring is based on ‘’constructivism’’, which assesses the student’s background and learning experiences before building on it. If needed, I deconstruct erroneous concepts/habits before reconstructing a new base of learning. The main actor is the student, which I help build awareness of their knowledge base and learning patterns, and take responsibility in their learning.
