Experience:

Teaching for 9 years and an additional 6 years of experience working with children in pre-school settings following the Early Years National Curriculum.

Approach:

My passion and teaching physiology is rooted in early years teaching, helping children to be ready to access school curriculums through playful teaching and learning experiences. I am passionate about phonics and can support a child who is struggling to progress in their early reading and spelling. Mathematics in the early years is much more than number formation and sums. Children need to truly understand what number is and how it is used and I achieve this by providing playful and meaningful games and activities. Understanding how children learn is key to bridging gaps and securing foundations for learning.
