Qualification:

Higher Bachelor of Education in Primary Teaching

Experience:

-10 years experience in primary school teaching-6 in Ireland and 4 in the U.A.E. -Have taught all class levels from early years up to grade/Year 6. (student from 4-13 years old). -Have provided one to one tutoring to students both in Ireland and in the U.A.E. -Experience of teaching the Irish, British and PYP curricula Incorporate engaging and fun learning activities into my teaching -Adapt my teaching methods to suit the needs and learning styles of my pupils.

Approach:

-Fun, engaging with a focus on active learning. -Incorporate varied, engaging activities so that students don't become bored. -Pitch my teaching at an appropriate level for the students needs. -Assess what level the student is at and work from here. (e.g. if I was working on reading and literacy with a student I would complete a benchmark assessment and test their high frequency words. I would then plan fun and engaging lessons based on their level and consistently asses their progress.) -I plan each lesson in advance focusing on a combination of what the parent feels the student needs and knowledge from assessing the child. -I provide the parents with a detailed plan of what I will be covering with their child.
