I have 12 years of teaching experience. I would be happy to contribute to school students, undergraduate and postgraduate modules. I am also aware of the importance of the pastoral care of students and take the role of a tutor very seriously. I am experienced in liaising with colleagues to help students with a variety of problems. I completed my B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering and MS in Embedded and Control System Design.

Approach:

Use simple language. Paraphrase what the student says. Provide information that the student needs, rather than what you know. Ask one question at a time. Check to see if you have been understood. Ask a student to explain back to you the steps that were needed to solve a problem. Admit when you don’t know the answer. Refrain from commenting on how easy a problem or concept is to understand. Provide realistic feedback about learning from high school vs. university perspective. Listen actively. Keep a positive attitude about the person you are assisting. Show enthusiasm for learning. Look for opportunities to encourage and affirm the student’s work. Actively teach study skills.
