Experience:

I graduated from a British university and I have been teaching for 6 years. I have taught In years1,2,3 and 4. I like children to learn actively and have fun whilst they are learning as this increases their chances of retaining subject knowledge.

Approach:

I assess what the child can do at the beginning of session one and then set targets to what they need to achieve. I align those targets with the national expectations and plan lessons to support attaining those targets. Each session I sit with the child and review where they started and show the child how much progress has been made to encourage them. With lots of practical application and scaffolded guidance, the child will then be able to apply this in their school work.
