BA Degree and Grade 8 Classical Piano

Experience:

I worked as a piano teacher for 5 years in Ireland preparing students for classical examinations with the Royal Irish Academy of Music from elementary grades to grade 8. My students ranged in ages from young children to adults. I have also been working as an English primary school teacher for 3 years.

Approach:

When teaching piano I try to change my tutoring style depending on the needs of my student. Some people work better playing music strictly from reading whilst others find it easier to play by ear. I encourage my students to be able to do both yet always highlight their strengths.
