Higher Diploma in Primary Education, Bachelor of Arts (Majors in English and Child Development)

Experience:

Provided a family with tutoring for their children who required reading and phonics intervention, support in Maths and English and Science and Oral Language skills.

Approach:

I will first liaise with the family on what they believe the child’s needs are. I will then conduct an assessment with the child myself to identify what the target areas of learning are for them. I will then chat with the child about their interests and hobbies. From this, I will then plan personalised lessons to build and enhance the skills and strategies necessary to achieve the objectives of each lesson. The lessons will cater to the learning style of the child and will be hands-on, fun and contextualised. My lessons will be in line with the KHDA’s criteria for outstanding teaching and learning. I will assess the child throughout the lessons and continuously create new targets for the child to achieve. I have great experience in developing the abilities of children and I can guarantee progress with your child.
