BA honors degree in Educational studies and Post graduate teaching degree

Experience:

I have a wide range of primary experience teaching and tutoring in all key stages across the British National Curriculum-I have a diverse background with much to offer. After completing my BA honors degree and achieving my QTS (qualified teacher status), I both taught and tutored in America (East Hampton) for two years. This involved teaching young children in a summer program. This allowed me to acquire some experience teaching/tutoring children from well-established and high-profile families.

Approach:

Enthusiasm is contagious and therefore I try to plan/make my lessons creative and interesting with exciting deliveries! My teaching is full of energy and intriguing therefore, children are so much more likely to pay attention and absorb what I am trying to teach them. I always Consider the ways in which different pupils may learn and understand that every pupil is different and will respond to learning techniques in different ways. I believe that flexibility and offering different ways of learning the subject can make all the difference. When tutoring, I am always able to adapt and personalise my teaching to meet the needs of both children and parents. I always believe that it is of the highest importance that pupils feel listened to, and will give each pupil the same opportunities to develop and practice their learning too. I am a very reflective practitioner and thoroughly evaluate each lesson to consider the children’s learning and next steps. My demeanour is always positive and I believe this positivity and enjoyment creates positive learning and tutoring strategies for students, being confident that my enthusiasm and passion will ignite and inspire the children I teach. I have the ability to plan and deliver lessons which engage, inspire and develop the minds of all children, allowing them to become successful learners who reach their full potential.
