Masters in Primary Education

Experience:

2.1 honors masters in teaching and distinctions in all inspections. Experience working in KS1 and KS2. Confident teaching those with English as a second language. Previous experience tutoring children in maths and English in KS1 and KS2 level. Focus on improving literacy, phonics, handwriting, reading fluency and comprehension. Worked on maths targets teaching essential strategies for all operations in maths (eg) multiplication, division, subtraction, addition.

Approach:

I adopt teaching with a positive, enthusiastic and engaging attitude and ensure a positive, trusting relationship is formed with each child. Each lesson planned is directed solely at each individual child. Lessons are adapted and suited to the needs of the child which I work with. I will integrate the child's interests to engage them in their learning, give regular informal assessments to guide their learning and my judgment and hence, inform me of the necessary skills which the child needs additional learning and revision. I work according to the child's needs and style towards learning to enhance their overall potential.
