Bachelor of Education in Primary Teaching

Experience:

I am an Irish Primary School teacher with English as my first language. I am teaching in the UAE 1 year under the British Curriculum, however, I also have experience teaching other curriculums. I am trained to teach all grades from KG1 - Grade 6. I enjoy teaching the English language and Maths and am confident in both areas.

Approach:

I have worked with a number of students at different levels over the past years, each of which has enabled me to identify, select, and modify resources to meet the student's diverse needs. When learning new content, integrated worksheets and materials are key to vary lessons and consolidate concepts. However, my main goal when tutoring one-on-one is to develop a rapport with the student so that they feel comfortable to question and contradict my teaching in order to enhance the learning experience as well as clarifying understanding.
