Experience:

I have 5 years of experience as a teacher of Sociology/Humanities. With a 1st class degree in Sociology, she has exceptional knowledge and depth of the subject; demonstrated in her outstanding classroom practice. Began tutoring in the UK, mostly in the form of revision and preparation for their GCSE and AS/A Level exams. To date she has an 85% A* - C pass rate. Her strengths are well organised, paced & challenging lessons and learning resources that both engage the learner and foster their understanding.

Approach:

All tutoring lessons are based around the child's current ability, their end goal and their best learning method. Resources will be personally adapted to appeal to the child's interest and challenge them as far as possible. This includes a range of activities, from essay and exam writing, video analysis, key words and matching activities to content analysis. All of which are key skills and areas of knowledge that will need to be built upon in order to attain educational success. Miss, Shani takes a friendly approach that encourages students to share both strengths and weaknesses in their learning, to ensure the best possible outcome.
