Experience:

I was a part-time tutor in the Philippines for 4 years handling students from grade 2-8. The subjects I mainly teach are Math and Social Studies including Geography and History. Recently, I was a part-time tutor to a 5-year-old who is having a hard time with literacy and numeracy. I was able to make him master phonemic awareness that enabled him to read proficiently.

Approach:

I usually go to a tutoring session with a lot of materials. I make sure to bring the necessary worksheet depending on the mastery of each subject. Because of my background in ABA, I usually bring reinforcements that make learning more exciting. I teach every lesson with consideration of the prerequisite skills required in learning a subject matter. I usually make sure that a student masters it before teaching the subject to be learned which makes it easier for learners to understand.
