Experience:

I am the holder of a Bachelor's Degree Honours in Mathematics and a full-time Mathematics teacher in cycle 2 schools. I have offered face to face tutoring in grade 9-12 mathematics learners and university students. I can work with any materials/ curriculum given in time. I am also good in exam preparation strategies. Working with children is my passion and my pride is to see them reach their full potential in academic performance and understanding of the world of mathematics.

Approach:

I use a lesson plan template with features that address the type of lesson. Learning objectives, vocabulary and activities of the main body, resources and time will be incorporated. My lessons are unique as they are structured to meet individualistic and targeted needs, interests and learning styles. Use of ICT is not underestimated. My tutoring techniques are varied, use humour for positive effects, analyse information by research, use multi-media tools, think-pair-share for groups, pause procedure to hear the voice of the student, encourage student's creativity, fast-paced drills for memory work, assessment through games, puzzles. The most fundamental is face-to-face contact.
