Qualification:

Honours in Criminology and Psychology. Minor in History. Bachelors of Education.

Experience:

I have been teaching History, Geography, and Psychology at an International Baccalaureate School in Dubai for 5 years. Before this I taught at-risk youth at a Boarding School in Canada. Throughout this time, I have specialized at working with youth from a variety of different backgrounds and environments.

Approach:

Lessons will depend on the individual needs of the student and the desired outcomes. Regardless of this, my approach is nearly always the same- if the student isn't happy and comfortable and wanting to learn, then nothing will be achieved. I believe in a positive and supportive approach that allows the student to learn at their optimum. Lessons and learning must also be relevant and interesting to the student. Once this is achieved learning comes naturally and at much greater ease.
