Experience:

Experienced Science Tutor | Physics Specialist | GCSE, IGCSE, IB I have been teaching online and in private or public independent schools since 2012 in the UK and international schools in the Middle East. Over the past decade, I have helped many students to be able to achieve their potential in their Science, GCSE, IGCSE, IB ans IAL examinations. I offer a combination of online sessions, focusing on conceptual understanding with exam technique and preparation before the mocks and external examinations. My teaching methodology is really simple, in the first ten minutes or so, I will share the knowledge needed for the concepts we are learning, followed by modelling a problem. This will then be followed by the pupil attempting an example, so that I can check for understanding. Followed by a set of practice questions for consolidation and application of their learning. Your child will not just be taught what to learn but how to learn, not what to remember but how to remember. This will be supported by the order they will be taught concepts in, which is organised logically so it makes sense to the pupil to support their understanding.

Approach:

My lesson delivery is unique and involves a lot of questioning, a typical lesson would start by me checking the pupils background knowledge before imparting new learning and then assessing the students understanding. This will bw followed by consolidating the learning through application of it by practising contextual based problems.
