Experience:

I am a creative and enthusiastic teacher with a multitude of skills. I have a broad experience of education after teaching in a range of phases, both in the UK and internationally. I have a calm and nurturing approach to teaching, whilst at the same time, ensuring clear and high expectations are set for the children. I ensure, through effective and detailed assessment, that the needs of the children are met and that they are able to make significant progress. I have extremely high expectations of both myself and the children that I teach. I believe that children will be successful if they are in an environment where they are engaged, challenged, and happy. I work hard to encourage and develop an environment of mutual respect, consideration and co-operation. 

Approach:

I am an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher and I have been consistently judged as ‘outstanding’ for the past 5 years. During my time teaching, I have been able to focus on new and innovative ways of delivering learning and finding interesting ways to encourage the children to learn independently; I particularly relish the chance to dispute the children’s own opinions and get them to challenge themselves.  I plan appropriate lessons that scaffold children’s learning and involve a variety of different teaching methods that encourage an unconstrained way of learning. I am a hardworking, self-motivated, reflective practitioner with a good sense of humour and I firmly believe that children who receive the best teaching have the opportunity to achieve to the best of their ability; ensuring that this is at the heart of my teaching.
