Experience:

I am a Native English speaker with 12 years teaching experience. -I have taught in the UK and in Dubai, children aged 3 - 12. - I have a Bachelor's Honours Degree in Education from the University of Glasgow.  - I have been rated as Outstanding but in particular all areas of English: phonics, grammar, writing and reading. - I excel in many different roles: information provider, assessor, resource developer. - I have excellent curriculum knowledge and strive to keep my knowledge up to date. - I am hard working, motivtional, very punctual, and reliable.

Approach:

I create short term, interesting assignments to keep each student motivated to achieve long term goals. I tailor my teaching styles to suit individual learning needs and lead discussions by asking open - ended questions. I scaffold learning and create an active learning approach by using technology for helpful, educational purposes.  I begin by examining the child's previous knowledge on the given subject and will then regularly carry out small assessments to ensure that progress is being made. Regular updates will be given to parents along with the child's 'next steps' in order for them to progress even further.
