Experience:

I have been a qualified primary education teacher for four years in London and I am fully experienced in delivering the British curriculum. I have taught across both key stages but have spent three years in Year 6. This has meant I have an excellent understanding of the end of year assessments and am able to prepare children for these. Professional appraisals have commented on the calm and purposeful atmosphere in my classroom, and commended the manner in which children are always engaged.

Approach:

I strongly believe that multi-sensory and interactive teaching methods are not only the most effective for learning, but also the most enjoyable for both the pupil and the teacher. I plan lessons that are active and require real thinking rather than simply reading though information. I believe in promoting mutual respect, and in developing an environment where learning is fun and purposeful. I set very high standards both in terms of attainment and behavior and believe that effective learning is enhanced within a secure and structured setting.
