Experience:

I am currently in my 3rd year as a Grade 1 Homeroom Teacher in a School in Dubai, teaching English, Math, Science and Social Studies. I have 4 years teaching experience in the UK previous to coming to the UAE. The majority of which was in Primary Education, with a 6 month period in a Grammar School at home teaching English at Secondary level. I enjoy working with children and find that the opportunity to work one to one allow pupils to flourish and engage with their learning.

Approach:

I strive to make learning enjoyable and fun, as I believe that this helps create a more positive outlook on school work. I appreciate that not all children are the same, nor do they all learn the same way, therefore, I adapt my lessons to accommodate the learning needs of the individual. Most important in planning lessons is the child's ability and structuring the lesson so that it is challenging but also attainable for the individual. I really enjoy the relationship I have with the children that I tutor and love helping them progress and witness their development. I feel that one of my main strengths is my calm and patient nature, which helps children relax and feel comfortable. My goal is for children to overcome any difficulties they may have academically with a smile on their face.
